Somali Prime Minister Hamze Abdi Barre has said that the sports provide unity, peace, and interaction.
PM Barre has congratulated the team and residents of Gubadley locality after their football team won District Football Tournament.
Prime Minister described the sports competition in the districts of Banadir region as a symbol of peace that the community sees and reflects the value of peace and social interaction for the development of the capital.
He also handed the trophy to the team.
“I hope that the sports will protect the youth from joining radicalism, troublemaking and drugs, and guide them on the right path. We all have a responsibility to work for peace and unity and remove the terrorists,” the PM said.
Barre declared his pleasure at attending the match and encouraged more youths to get involved in sports, which has numerous benefits.
